Spend a full day in Merzouga with a camel ride and a night in a desert camp, then continue through impressive gorges, valleys and historic kasbahs before crossing the High Atlas to Marrakech.

Day 1 – Fes → Ifrane → Azrou → Midelt → Ziz Valley → Merzouga (≈ 470 km)
After breakfast, depart from Fes and cross the Middle Atlas. Stop in Ifrane, “the Switzerland of Morocco”, and near Azrou to visit the cedar forest and see the Barbary macaques. Lunch in Midelt, then cross the mountains with panoramic views, stopping to admire the Ziz Valley before passing through Erfoud, known for its fossils. Arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Sahara. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.
Day 2 – Merzouga: Khamlia, Nomads & Camel Ride to the Desert Camp
After breakfast, explore the Merzouga region: visit the village of Khamlia, known for its traditional Gnawa music, and meet local nomad families. Enjoy a traditional lunch in the area. In the afternoon, ride camels across the dunes to watch the sunset and arrive at your desert camp, where you are welcomed with tea. Dinner, music around the campfire and a memorable night under the stars.
Day 3 – Merzouga → Rissani → Todra Gorge → Dades Valley (≈ 290 km)
Wake up early for a beautiful sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and a shower, visit the local market of Rissani, then continue through Erfoud and Tinghir to Todra Gorge for a walk through the impressive canyon. After lunch, travel to the Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad.
Day 4 – Dades Valley → Ouarzazate → Ait Ben Haddou → Marrakech (≈ 325 km)
After breakfast, travel through the Rose Valley and the Skoura palm grove to Ouarzazate, with an optional visit to the Taourirt Kasbah. Continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore this famous historic village. After lunch, cross the High Atlas via the Tizi n’Tichka pass with scenic stops, and arrive in Marrakech in the evening. Transfer to your accommodation.
