Experience an unforgettable 3-day journey from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert. Travel through the High Atlas Mountains, visit historic villages, explore stunning valleys and gorges, and enjoy a camel ride across golden dunes. Spend a magical night in a desert camp under the stars.

Day 1 – Marrakech → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley (≈ 320 km)

Your journey begins with pick-up from your hotel or a location of your choice in Marrakech. Travel through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass (2,260 m), with breathtaking views of traditional villages and landscapes.

Visit Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of Morocco’s most famous fortified villages. With a local guide, cross the river and walk through its narrow streets to the top for panoramic views over the valley.

After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, then drive through the Skoura palm grove and the Rose Valley (especially beautiful during the rose season in late spring). Arrive in the Dades Valley and admire its unique rock formations known as the “Monkey Fingers”. Dinner and overnight in a hotel or riad.

Day 2 – Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga (≈ 290 km)

After breakfast, travel along the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs towards Tinghir. Continue to Todra Gorge, where you will have time to walk through the canyon and admire its impressive cliffs.

After lunch, continue through desert landscapes to Merzouga. Meet your camel caravan and ride across the dunes while enjoying a beautiful sunset. Arrive at your desert camp for dinner, traditional music around the campfire and a peaceful night under the stars.

Day 3 – Merzouga → Ouarzazate → Marrakech (≈ 570 km)

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, begin your journey back through Alnif and Tazzarine, reaching Ouarzazate in the afternoon. Cross the High Atlas Mountains with scenic stops and arrive in Marrakech in the evening. Drop-off at your accommodation.
